This description helps users understand the image's content in several situations. For instance, if the image fails to load due to internet issues, the alt text provides context. Additionally, screen readers, which are tools used by visually impaired individuals, rely on alt text to convert images into audible descriptions. Code injection is the process of adding extra code to your website. You can inject multiple types of code into a Squarespace website header, footer, or lock page. This space is usually reserved for tracking codes like Google Analytics, and API codes for things like external email programs that need to connect to data on specific pages.
If you are using a business or commerce plan, you can add code using page header code injection, which places code on individual pages.
You can also inject code into the HTML using a code block, so that code will load with the page content.
💡 Pro Tip: adding CSS to your site wide CSS file (pages > website tools > custom css) isn’t commonly referred to as “injection” because the main purpose of that file is to hold code. Your adding code here, not injecting it where it doesn’t normally exist.
