How to Add Alt Text to An Image in Squarespace

What you’ll need: An on page image block

How to add it:

  1. Select edit on the top left hand side of the site preview

  2. Double click on the image to access the image options menu

  3. Change the file name to the alt text you want to use

  4. Select save on the top left hand side to exit edit mode.

Important info: Your alt text should read like a descriptive sentence. It’s a great place to use a keyword or two, but write it for your readers, not to spam Google with keyword stuffed content!
