How to create a fixed header in Squarespace

Using the built-in header design options, you can make sure the header of your Squarespace site always stays at the top of your page! This tutorial will show you how to set that up step by step. To create a fixed header, follow these steps:

  1. Click Edit on the top left hand side of your site preview to enter edit mode.

  2. Hover over the header of your site until you see the button that says Edit Site Header.

  3. Click on that button!

  4. Scroll down to the toggle with the label fixed position.

  5. Toggle that option on.

  6. Select basic which will leave the header of your Squarespace site visible at the top of every page.

  7. Click outside of your header options menu by clicking on your page content.

  8. Save your changes by clicking save on the top left-hand side.
