A Beginner’s Guide to Squarespace Line Blocks

You can use a Squarespace line block to add a solid line to a page section.

Line blocks can help you create a visual separation in your website content with stylish horizontal lines.


Pop them in between text blocks or anywhere you want to visually organize your site.

How to add a line block to Squarespace

  1. Select edit on the top left-hand side of your website preview.

  2. Click the add block option on a page section, or the plus sign inside classic editor.*

  3. Select the line option form the list of content blocks.

  4. Change the width of the line by dragging the side edge to a different location.

  5. Change the vertical alignment using the first option that appears when you click on the line in edit mode.

What you can customize about the line block using Squarespace
