What’s different about the form block?
Address field update
The country field is now a dropdown available at the top of the address block.Other fields will update based on the selected country, including required info.
Phone update for international use
Phone fields now have a country code dropdown. This means that form will take phone numbers that aren't 10-digit format 🎉
Date field is finally global!
This one is epic - we can finally have dates that are the proper format for your region, not stuck in month - date - year as they have been! People can type in a date or select one from the date picker. This month-first or date-first option will be based on the website country. For example, if you’re business information has your location based in Manchester, England, you’ll have the DD-MM-YYYY format, but if your location is Chattanooga, Tennessee, your date format will be MM-DD_YYYY
12 & 24 hour time
Now You can type directly in the fields, or use the time picker. Anther change here - we have the option for 12 hour or 24 hour format!
What’s not changing?
Editing, design options, and the form submission options are still the same.
Newsletter forms, ecommerce forms, and other forms are the same; this is an update specifically for form blocks that are in page sections, footer sections, blog posts, and event.
